CCIT Joins Sustainability Conference
The Adamson University – College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) was represented at the 10th Regional Conference on Campus Sustainability (RCCS) held on April 16–17, 2026, at COPOTY Hall and via online platforms. This year’s conference carried the theme: “Circular Economy in Higher Education: From Campus to Globe.” During the conference, two research papers from the Information Technology and Information Systems (IT&IS) Department were presented: •“Patubig: An IoT-Based Smart Irrigation System for Sustainable Greenhouses to Enhance Water Efficiency Through Sensors and Actuators,” authored by Kurt Renier C. Caspe, Denemi Daniel C. Dionisio, Kyla T. Ocampo, and Catherine Joyce L. Samia, with Mrs. Quintina M. Racal-Verceles as Technical Adviser. •“GabayKarera: A Web-Based Mentorship Platform with AI-Driven Matching Connecting CCIT Students of Adamson University with Industry Professionals,” authored by Katrina V. Dunton, Eduardo Enrique D. Javier, Paul Deniel B. Macapagal, and Mary Jean L. Ramos, with Dr. Leonard L. Alejandro as Technical Adviser. CCIT’s participation in the 10th RCCS underscores the College’s continued commitment to advancing research aligned with sustainability and innovation.
