CCIT-RISE 2.0 Showcases Award-Winning Student Research Projects
The College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) recognized the winners of the Student Poster Presentation during the CCIT Research Innovation Symposium and Expo (CCIT-RISE 2.0) held on May 6, 2026 at the SV 2nd Floor Lobby. A total of 17 teams from the IT&IS Department and Computer Science Department presented their research projects. Entries were evaluated based on content, organization and clarity, visuals, contribution to research advancement, originality, and relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project “EDUK-ABLE: An Assistive Mobile Application for Deaf and Mute Children” was declared Champion.The 1st Runner-Up award went to “Dogsense: A Video-Based YOLOV11 and BI-LSTM Framework for the Classification of Pain-Related Behaviors in Dogs Based on the Glasgow CMPS-SF Scale.”“Agrid: Optimizing Farmers’ Market Reach Using Multi-Feature Clustering and DBSCAN for Recommender System within Rosario, Batangas” earned the 2nd Runner-Up award, while “PhishOpsis: A Machine Learning-Based Mobile Application Using an Automated System for Detecting and Preventing Smishing and Phishing Attacks Through Real-Time Analysis and Overlay Warnings” placed 3rd Runner-Up. The Student Poster Presentation highlighted innovative and research-driven solutions developed by CCIT students in addressing real-world challenges through computing and technology.
